Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the 2018 North American Orienteering Championships (NAOC 2018)
Volunteers play a critical role in the success of the NAOC 2018. There are many opportunities before, during and after the event and most volunteer jobs do not require orienteering skills. Most jobs allow you to compete — which we hope you will!
We will have snacks and refreshments available for volunteers and anyone who volunteers for ten or more hours will get a NAOC 2018 Yukon hat!
Click "see description" for more information about each shift. Have fun exploring our volunteer opportunities and feel free to sign up for more than one shift in a single day or on different days. The program will automatically let you know if you have volunteered for shifts with overlapping times.
Planning on competing? The majority of shifts will allow volunteers to compete. If you are volunteering during the competition (generally all shifts that are between 10am and 2pm), you'll be assigned early or late starts to accommodate your volunteer duties. If you are running the elite categories, please volunteer for shifts before 10 am or after the competition.
